Green Lantern Trailer is out… WOW it’s pretty damn good.
Ok so admittedly, as usual, I am super psyched about this movie so it could make me have some Green Geek goggles on here. I am prolly going to love this movie even if it’s a piece of crap but the trailer looks pretty damn good. A lot of the web is torn on the take on Hal Jordan by Ryan Reynolds. See traditionally Jordan is a bad ass. He’s more or a no nonsense guy who is not all jokey and funny. Reynolds is the jokey funny charismatic guy. He’s kind of a middle man of the Hal Jordan – Guy Gardner mix. The only arguments to make are there were some times in the comics where Hal was a jokey guy with him and the Flash being buds etc. so I will give it a bit of a pass, but I can’t decide to cringe or chuckle when Reynolds screams “I know Right!”. Either way the footage of the Corps HQ planet is AMAZING, and the Green Lantern Corps themselves are cool as hell, and prolly my fav part of the old GL books in general. Such great characters and stories that I hope this franchise continues b/c there is A LOT of potential with Reynolds and the Corps.

Hmm…. it looks pretty good, nice to see some more (cringe – marvel fan) DC heroes come to the big screen. Not surprised with the comedic lines. I think they need to put them in. But every adventure / hero film has had some line in it some where.
